i began studying music at 6  years with a private teacher and did so for  17 years - piano . i also play tenor sax. i have written several compositions, and the opus 1 was performed in 1961. i do not say i write classical music, but i write in that style, if i am permitted to say that.

  my musical training included much Chopin, Bach, Schumann, Brahms, some Beethoven and  Debussy.  I learned the piano concertos of Mozart B flat mayor, Tchaikovsky 1, Rachmaninoff 2, Brahms 1, and Schumann.

  I have always thought of myself more as a piano player than a writer of music, but i do both.
