The full version of Fall Out is an 8-minute movement from a larger work that was commissioned by a NYC based dance company, ANobleDancers. 3 computers were required to reproduce this very large string ensemble, which is a combination of the Appassionata, Orchestral, Chamber, and Solo Strings.

Inspiration for the work came in June 2006, during a dramatic and difficult time in the composer's life. The four note "Falling" theme introduced in the opening minutes is used throughout the movement, in various configurations.
